What are stars? Can they be a home to a solar system or are they too far away that we will never reach?

Heya!!

Very good question :)) Once when i had the same question, i did a lot of research. So, let me share it with u.

Let me clearly elaborate what a star is and how it is formed.
It might be a bit long, but the answer will be satisfactory ☺
I divided the question into points so that u won't we confused
*As according to a dictionary , a star is ball of hydrogen and helium with enough mass that it can sustain nuclear fusion at its core. Our Sun is a star, of course, but they can come in different sizes and colors.

*75% of the matter in the Universe is hydrogen and 23% is helium; these are the amounts left over from the Big Bang. //if u wanna know what a big bang is, u have google or a lot of books☺

*These elements(hydrogen and helium) exist in large stable clouds of cold molecular gas. At some point a gravitational disturbance, like a supernova explosion or a galaxy collision will cause a cloud of gas to collapse, beginning the process of star formation.

*As the gas collects together, it heats up.

*As it heats up, the whole cloud to begin spinning. Most of the mass collects in the center, but the rapid rotation of the cloud causes it to become flat into a protoplanetary disk. Even the planets r formed from this , but u only asked abt stars.

*This proto star or the early phase mass of starat the centre of the cloud heats up from the gravitational collapse of all the hydrogen and helium,

*and over the course of about 100,000 years, it gets hotter and hotter becoming a T Tauri star.

*Finally after about 100 million years of collapse, temperatures and pressures at its core become sufficient that nuclear fusion can ignite. From this point on, the object is a star.

uff!! so, u now know how star is formed.

The second part of ur question is a bit funny. The home of solar system??

Nope dear friend. Sun as u may take as an example of a star are not that far away that we can't reach it. We can reach it but as black ash as we get burnt for it is tremendously hot. ;P Sun is just the center of our solar system attracting all the planets towards itself.

Finally, i completed my long answer, got to drink some water!!

                                                  Hope this helps u :)))

I wish u mark me as brainliest, :))))))
