stilt roots are mainly present on the sugarcane and maize plant .... this roots are have main function of supporting the plant....this roots mainly comes out from the lower nodes of stem


Rhizophora have vertically upward roots coming out of the ground called as pnematophores....this roots helps to get oxygen for respiration

Stilt roots are adventitious roots which arises from lower nodes of stem and enter the soil and become stronger. They protect the plants against winds e.g. sugarcane, maize, screwpine.
