What are stolons? Please explain in brief with a detailed diagram.

Stolons are sub aerial stem modification. In this long slender branches arise from the base of the stem and grow obliquely downwards and produce adventitious ross at the point of contact with soil.
Stolons are found in plants like Nerium and Jasmine.
