stomata are the tiny little pores present at the surface of plants leaves they help in the exchanging of gases which is required for respiration. They are being surrounded by guard cells which actually protects them from the environmental problems. stomata opens and closed itself in day and night. They are very important because without them no respiration or other processes could be taken place in the plants
