hello!
stomata are the small openings found on leaves
- they are surrounded by two guard cells by which opening and closing of stomata occurs
- they are meant for exchange of gases and also for transpiration
- guard cells are kidney shaped they close when there is a need to save water and open to perform photosynthesis
