What are stomata? Explain their role in the functioning of a plant.

These r tiny holes on the surface of leaves

Small pores here and there in the epidermis of the leaf.  These pores are called stomata. Stomata are enclosed by two kidney shaped cell called gured cells . They are necessary for exchanging gases with the atmosphere.
