STREAMLINE FLOW :

☆ It is the flow in which every partical of liquid follows exactly the path of its preceding particle and has the same velocity in magnitude and direction as that of the preceding particle while crossing that point.

TURBULENT FLOW :

☆ When a liquid moves with a velocity greater than critical velocity the motion of the particle becomes irregular such a flow is called turbulent flow.

MORE INFORMATIONS :

Another type of flow is there which is called Laminar Flow.

LAMINAR FLOW :

☆ A flow in which the liquid moves in layer is called laminar flow.

Properties of Streamline Flow :

  • Tangent at any point gives the direction of velocity at that point.
  • No two streamlines can cross Each Other as at the point of intersection there will be to direction of velocity which is impossible.

Streamline-: Streamline is a line along which the flow of a moving fluid is least turbulent.

Turbulent Flow-: Turbulent flow is flow in which the fluid undergoes irregular fluctuations in which the fluid moves in smooth layers.
