strong acids are those acids which almost dissociate completely in water to give out a large number of H+ ions

weak acids are those acids which partially ionize in water to give out less number of h+ ions

STRONG ACIDS-

A strong acid gives off the highest number of hydrogen ions or protons when placed in a solution. Strong acids have low ph value. It fully dissociates into its ions in water.

Example-

  • Hydrochloric acid
  • Perchloride acid
  • Sulphuric acid

WEAK ACIDS-

A weak acid gives off less number pf hydrogen ions when placed in a solution. Weak acids have higher ph value than strong acids. It partially dissociates into its ions in water.

Example-

  • Acetic acid
  • Lactic acid
  • Citric acid
