Explanation:

Sublimation is the process through which a solid goes directly to a gas, skipping the liquid state. Examples are mothballs, dry ice, snow in the winter months, freeze-drying (ice crystals in a frozen food bag), air fresheners, and printers that print out high-resolution images

Desublimation is a phase transition in which gas turns into solid without passing through the liquid state. It is the reverse of sublimation. It is how snow forms in clouds, and how frost and hoar frost form on the ground or on windows. Another example is the soot on walls of chimneys.

Explanation:

SUBLIMATION:-

The process in which a substance which is in solid state turns into its gaseous state without turning into it's liquid state is called Sublimation.

For Example:-

  • Let us take an example of DRY ICE.
  • In dry ice we pressurised the CO2 or Carbon Dioxide gas in high pressure
  • And when we lower the pressure that means we higher the temperature, then Dry Ice starts to heat and give out Gaseous Carbon Dioxide.

DESUBLIMATION

The process in which we reverse the process of Sublimation ie we turn a gaseous state into its solid state is called DESUBLIMATION.

For Example:-

  • Let us again take example of Carbon Dioxide
  • We give high pressure to carbon dioxide so that the temperature decreases
  • And the carbon dioxide becomes Dry Ice into its solid form.
  • Dry Ice is used to create a smoky magical effect on stages so that everything looks like it is floating.

MORE TERMS:-

MELTING:-

The process in which we turn a material from solid to its liquid form .

For Example

  • Turning of Ice into water Room temperature.

BOILING:-

The process in which a liquid turns into gaseous form on reaching its boiling point.

For Example

  • Water turning to steam.

FREEZING

The converse process of Melting ie the process in which liquid turns to solid state is Freezing.

For Example

  • Water turning to Ice on Low Temperature.
