And they are so called Sundarbans. This forest also have Bengal tiger species. Sundarbans is the name given to the large Delta that are formed where the river basins of Ganges(Ganga) and Bramhaputra meet. They are called so becausethere are many Sundari trees found in that region

Sunderbans are the tidal forests of the Bengal . They are so named for the presence of Sundari trees in it. Sunderbans have large no. of species living in it thereby the govt. of Bengal declared it as one of the most beautiful place thereby it came to be known as Sundarban in Bengali (beautiful place in english.)
