Surds are numbers written in thw root form like √27 and 3√3 . Irrational numbers are numbers that cannot be written in the form of a/b where both a and b are integers and b is not equal to 0. Example of irrational number is π and √27 also.

Answer:

Surds are numbers left in root form (√) to express its exact value. It has an infinite number of non-recurring decimals.

Therefore, surds are irrational numbers. Well, 2 x 121 is 242 and we can take the square root of 121 without leaving a surd (because we get 11).
