Synthetic detergents are actually the synthetic substance which have the ability of effective cleanser and which act as the surface-active agent (Excluding the soap). The synthetic detergents works by decreasing the surface tension of the aqueous cleansing mixture.
For example 1) Laundry detergent .(2) dish washing liquids etc.

Advantages:
1) Soaps usually only have the effect on the soft water but synthetic detergents act both on hard and soft water
2)They are easily soluble in water as compared to soaps.
3) They can also be used in woolen garment washing while the soap unable to do this.

✔ synthetic detergent is any synthetic substance, other than soap, that is an effective cleanser and functions equally well as a surface-active agent in hard or soft water.

✔ It is a non-soap cleanser that exerts its effect by lowering the surface tension of an aqueous cleansing mixture.

Example

Typical non-ionic detergents are based on polyoxyethylene or a glycoside. Common examples of the formerinclude

Tween, Triton, and the Brij series.

✔These materials are also known as ethoxylates or PEGlyates and their metabolites, nonylphenol.

Glycosides have a sugar as their uncharged hydrophilic headgroup

Hope this will help u
