Organisation of data in rows and columns is called a table. A table consists of horizontal series of cells known as rows and vertical series of cells called columns. an intersection of a row and column for small rectangular block known as a cell contains data in the form of text and numbers. Also, some shapes, pictures, Clipart etc. can be inserted. Tables are used to present data in a neat and organised way.
There are two ways of inserting a table in Microsoft word.
Method 1:
1. Click on the insert tab.
2. Click on table.
3. Drag the mouse pointer to select rows and columns.
4. Click on the last score of the selected range to insert the table in the document.
