Guru Nanak urged people to fight against ignorance and superstition. He emphasised the equality of all humans especially that of men and women. He preached against the discrimination of people on the basis of cast and creed. Guru Nanak preached of a new way of life which became a powerful tool for social reform. On the other hand, Kabir believed in one supreme being. He asked people to show their love for god by loving all god's creations. He taught that love for god was the basis of all religions.
