Temperate systems are one of the two major type of cyclonic systems that affect India. They originate in the Northern Hemisphere in the areas in and around the Mediterranean Sea. The result of this cyclone is rainfall in the country. The areas that are affected by this rainfall are Punjab and Delhi in North India.
