They are also called the monsoon forests and spread over the region receiving rainfall between 200 cm and 70 cm.

The former is found in areas receiving rainfall between 200 cm and 100 cm.

Temperate decidious forests are those forests which sheds off their leaves which are broad and flat.

These Temperate decidious forests lie between the Tropics and Arctic poles. In winter's because of lack of proper sunlight the leaves become yellowish because of less chlorophyll.

Forest canopy is formed by tall trees. Temperate deciduous forests have temperature of approx -22°F to 87°F.
