these are the glands which secretes hormones for a specific period of time for example ovary with releases oestrogen and progesterone hormone

The glands other than endocrine glands which when needed work as site for secretion of hormones is temporary endocrine glands. There are two temporary endocrine gland in human body. These are: (1) Corpus luteum and (2) Placenta. ... (2) Placenta is another temporary endocrine gland in human body. It envelops the fetus and also seccretes hCG (human chorionic gonadotrophin), hPL (human placental lactogen), prolactin and some progesterone also.
