14 Principles of management given by Henri Fayol are:

1) Division of work:- Dividing the whole work into small parts amongst the specialized people

3) Discipline:- For smooth functioning of the organization , the employees of the organization should be obedient, should maintain proper conduct in relation to others ,respect the authority etc. Eg: ad agencies follow complete discipline in meetings.

4) Unity of command:- According to this principle a worker should get orders from one manager. If he receives order from multiple number of mangers it will create a conflict. Eg: reporting in any organization.

6) Subordination of individual interest:- Subordination of individual interest doesn’t mean that the organization has to give priority to the individuals interest. Instead, the individual and the organizational interest should be integrated to meet the objectives of the organization in an effective manner.

7) Remuneration:- The word remuneration means that the workers should be paid fair and reasonable for the hard work done by them. It increases the efficiency level, it may in terms of monetary or non-monetary. Eg: bonuses should be included in this.

The organization should maintain the balance of distributing powers to people of organization for the smooth running of an organization.

9) Scalar chain:- A chain refers to having a connection from one end to the other. Similarly, a proper link should always be present between the top management and lower management. Through this a clear and easy way of communication will be maintained between them. Example: Samsung company has a scalar chain.

10) Order:- To maintain the organizational process in an effective manner employees need to ensure that they must follow certain orders created by the company for smooth functioning of the process. Eg: attendance in large companies is monitored by following this.

11) Equity:- Equity means equality. As we all know every person in this world has to be treated equally, the employee in a company should also be treated equally. Only then there is good team work in an organization and it consequently develops a positive vibration in the workplace or organization.

12) Stability of tenure: Stability of tenure means retaining of talented and productive employees in the organization over a long period of time. Staff retention helps in reduction of inefficiency in the organization
