2). When there is a breakdown of constitutional machinery i.e. the constitutional machinery has broken down or there is a deadlock because of political uncertainties ..
3). When there is a financial emergency...i.e. a set-back situation to the financial stability or credit feasibility of the country is likely to occur or has occurred..
In these cases the President of India can proclaim emergency...
