Following are the three list
. state list - contains subjects of state and local importance such as police ,trade , agriculture and irrigation.state govt alone can make laws relating to the subject mentioned in the list
. Union list - includes subject of national importance such as defence of the country,foreign affairs,banking ,communication and currency.the central govt alone can take decision relating to the subject mentioned in the list
. concurrent List - includes subject of common interest to both state and central govt such as education,forest,trade unions, marriage, adoption and succession.both govt can take decisions in these matters but if there is a conflict the decision of union government will prevail.
