Chemical coordination in plants occur with the help of hormones secreted in them. There are 4 plant hormones:

- Auxin: detects light and helps in increasing the length of the plant. It's present in the shoots of the plants.

- Gibberellins: helps in growth of stem and works in coordination with auxin.

- Cytokinins: This is present in rapidly dividing cells. It helps in division of cell.

- Abscisic acid: Controls the growth of plant by inhibiting/preventing it. Once the plant attains certain height it stops the growth of the plant. Wilting of leaves is one of its functions.
