It is considered as the second largest animal phylum.

• Generally they have bilateral symmetry some members also have asymmetrical like snail.

• Three layers are found in it means they are triploblastic.

• Mantle is present on their spongy skin.

• Digestive tract is complete.

• The members of this phylum has Radula as feeding organ.

• Circulatory system is open type.

• Respiratory pigment is Haemocyanin which is blue in colour.

• Excretory system includes 1 to 2 pairs of sac like kidneys.

• Nervous system is present in members of this phylum.

• They are mostly ovaiparous.
