What are the advantage and disadvantage of using Traveller for fishing
Answers
Disadvantages:
Preparation: If you’re not an experienced angler or have others with you that aren’t experienced, it’s much more difficult to fish in the dark. Even a simple task of making up a new rig is going to take longer. It is also more dangerous. Your chances of getting injured are greatly increased at night.
Navigation: More difficult to navigate a boat in the dark, regardless of how well you know the body of water, even with GPS it can be a challenge.
Bugs: If you don’t bring bug spray before you embark on your fishing trip, expect to encounter a lot of bugs. Mosquitoes love the water and will have a feast if you do not protect yourself. There is nothing more annoying than a group of bugs constantly flying around your face. Bug spray is a must!
Advantages:
Temperature: Unlike the daytime, the temperature at night is much cooler in the summer months. The hot sun can be brutal during the day.
Less Boats: Less boats mean less noise and water disruption. A body of water that has busy boat traffic can scare away fish and make it difficult to catch anything. Typically there are significantly less boats at night, making it easier for you to navigate to where you want to go.
Less Wind: At night there is usually less wind. This generally makes the water much more calm at night. This can be a huge advantage if you’re trying to beat high winds.
