Advantages of weeds-

Some weeds are aesthetically pleasant and can be used to visually enhance the environment. Areas where no commercial plants can grow such as eroded soils, lava spills low rainfall areas and next to roads are ideal places for weeds.

Disadvantages of weeds-

They compete with main crops for space,sunlight,food minerals and water.Being hardy and vigorous in growth habit, they grow faster then crops and consume large amount of water and nutrients, thus causing heavy losses.
