Answer:

In general, pollination by insects and other animals is more efficient than pollination by wind. Typically, pollination benefits the animal pollinator by providing it with nectar, and benefits the plant by providing a direct transfer of pollen from one plant to the pistil of another plant.

Disadvantages of animal pollination. not as much seeds can dispersed. Animals can't reach in to places such as open water (seas) or open plain fields. animal pollination takes a lot longer to process and reproduce new offspring.

QUESTION:-

What are the advantages and disadvantages of animal Pollination?

ANSWER:-

Animal pollination is done by animals called animal pollinators. They are very significant in the reproduction of plants. Many plants require contribution from animal pollinators for reproducing new offspring like bees who assist the plant by dispersing pollen grains on their hooked-shaped hairs.

ADVANTAGES OF ANIMAL POLLINATION:-

  • Animals get more seeds dispersed with their body and hair.
  • The seeds of the plants can be transmitted more because the animal can travel more distance.
  • Animal pollinators are non-stop whereas the wind could vanish out.

DISADVANTAGES OF ANIMAL POLLINATION:-

  • In Animal pollination seeds that can be dispersed are very less.
  • Animals cannot reach places such as water bodies like the sea and ocean or plain fields like desserts.
  • Animal pollination is very time-consuming as it takes a lot lengthier processes for reproducing new offspring.
