Advantages of a series electrical device
- A series electrical device will not get heated easily.
- A dry of flammable thing present to a series will not catch fire, hence the risk will be less.
Advantages of a parallel electrical device
- Every component of the device will get a constant voltage.
- A parallel circuit has the benefit of connecting or disconnecting other electrical appliances to it.
- There are different paths for a current to flow which makes it easier to change path if a default occurs.
Disadvantages of a series electrical device
- All the appliances are connected in a series pattern, one after another.
- If a fault occurs at one of the appliance then the others after it will also not work.
Disadvantages of a parallel circuit
- Lots of wires are used which make it difficult.
- Voltage cannot be increased as the resistance decreases.
