Advantages of desert soils :- 1) it has great variety of flora and fauna
2) It is rich in nutrients

Disadvantages of desert soils :-1) It has lack of water
2) also the temperature is so high and humid.

The soil in the deserts can be of different types. It can be fine textured or gravel and loose rock type of soil.

Advantages  -

1. It has a fairly low concentration of salt. This is very helpful for desert plant growth.

2. It has an abundance of nutrients and can be easily used for agricultural purposes with an efficient irrigation system.

Disadvantages -

1. It is less fertile.

2. It needs extra irrigation.
