Answer:

The length of the Interpolation formulae is going to be very small for Newton’s divided difference technique in Comparison to the Largrange’s Interpolation technique.

Consider if you have 4 known data points as shown below-

The Lagrange’s Interpolation formulae would be-

For 5 known data points, Newton’s Divided difference technique would turn out to be-

This is a much smaller formulae than the Lagrange’s formulae.

Second point is that in Lagrange’s formulae, there are plenty of signs that need to be taken into Consideration. If the sign in even one bracket is wrongly determined, then the solution would be incorrect. Thus, the work load is more for Lagrange’s technique as Compared to Newton’s technique and the calculations need to be done more carefully in Lagrange technique.

Hope you got it.

Answer:

Hey dude,

Here's ur answer...

Forward interpolation formula: is used to interpolate the values of y nearer to the beginning value of the given table. Also this formula is applicable if in case where h ( difference in travel ) is constant.

Now coming to back word difference formula

Step-by-step explanation:

This formula is used to interpolate the values of y nearer to the end of the table (or) tabular values.

These r the place where, we need to apply those formulas.

These formulas r used when the intravels for computing a value of a function r equidistant.

I hope it helps u a lot........
