Advantages of Plastic are:

Plastic is available at low cost.

Plastic is strong and water and chemical resistant.

Plastic is light in weight.

Various products of plastic are available for household and other purposes.


Disadvantages of Plastic are:

Plastics are non renewable.

Plastic causes water and land pollution.

Some plastics causes highly toxic fumes when they are allowed to burn.

Plastics are non biodegradable.

Advantages -

• Plastic are strong it lightweight and so they are easy to transport.

• They are durable, knock-and scratch resistant with excellent weatherability.

• They do not rot, rust or corrode and they are also economical.

• They are insoluble in water and also poor conductors of heat and electricity, so they are used to make handles for electric appliances and cooking vessels.

Disadvantages -

• They pollute our environment and also pose a danger to wildlife and humans they are dangerous for aquatic animals they are also dumped in water bodies.

• They do not degrade quickly.

• When plastics our burned, the produce toxic gases and smoke and also make a layer of plastic deep inside the soil and does not allowed the rainwater from seeping into the ground.

• They are also don't in soil which affects the plants growing in the area as we don't get enough water from the soil.

• Most plastic waste littering the roadside causes disease.
