\textbf{Pollination :}

It is the transfer of pollen grains from anther to stigma of a plant...

It is of two types...

Self pollination and Cross pollination.

\textbf{Self Pollination :} When pollination occurs in the same type a plant or flower.

\textbf{Advantages :}

→ In this only one parent plant is required as it occurs in a same plant not in two plants ..

→ It doesn't depends upon external agents like insects, air, water etc..

→ In this less number of pollen grains waste..

\textbf{Disadvantages :}

In this type of pollination offsprings produced are weak as that of the offsprings that produced in cross pollination.

→ Also in this there are less chances of survival because of no variations in offsprings..

→ New varieties of plants are not produced by this method...
