Both types of views have their advantages and disadvantages. These are as follows -
- A broad view and inclusive definition can see from a perspective point of reference when it comes to how we all became connected. It can differentiate all the benefits and has the upper hand of seeing further ahead to avoid future problems. It also has the potential to criticise its constituents sometimes because it tends to look outward.
- A narrow and exclusive definition of globalisation focuses on a single spot, particularly it's own. It has a very minimal point of view because of the lack of reference. It fails to see the role of other parties as maybe a partner. In global trade, a country that uses a narrow point of view usually starts the trade wars because it excludes all others. It generally has the support of its constituents and is said to take a protectionist stand.
