advantage of solar energy are
- solar energy are used to save the costly fuels like wood gases kerosene diesel etc...
- solar energy don't cause pollution and Hence they are environmentally friendly
- solar device are prepared and maintenance is very cheap
- nutrition value of food is preserved as the food is cooked at low temperature and slowly in solar cooker
- it is also used to operate radio set in remote area
- these are used to generate electricity needed in artificial satellite

disadvantage of solar energy
- food cannot be cooked at night in solar cooker
- they cannot work on cloudy and rainy day less effective during winter season or not so effective in polar region
- the initial cost is very high
-itv cannot be used to operate heavy machineries

Explanation:

ADVANTAGES

1. Renewable energy source -solar energy obtained is a renewable source of energy. It is inexhaustible.

2. Produces clean, green power. It does not cause pollution and doesn’t contribute in environment degradation.

DISADVANTAGES

1. Production cost of solar cells is very high. Thus, producing and storing electricity via solar energy is indeed an expensive procedure.

2. Low efficiency and Loss of power at night and in bad weather. Solar energy cannot be collected during the night.
