Answer:

The following are the advantages of eddy current

(1) Diathermy :-

These are used for deep heat treatment i.e localised heating of tissue in human body this treatment is called diathermy .

(2)

Concept of eddy current is used in energy meters to record the consumption of electricity .

(3) Speedometer :-

The eddy currents are produced in the aluminium drum in which a Magnet attached to the axel of the wheel rotates according to the speed o the vehicle . the pointer attached to the from us reflected in the direction of the rotation if the drum .

.

(4) Electromagnetic breaks ,:-

These are used in trains the large eddy current are produced in the metallic drum which oppose the motion of the motion .

(5). Dead beat galvanometer :-

Electromagnetic damping is used to stop coil in w shorter interval of time . when the coil wound over a Metallic frame us deflected , eddy currents are produced in the metallic frame which oppose the the motion of the coil .

(6)

Induction frame makes use of heating effect of eddy current .

(7)

Induction motor or a.c motor also works by eddy current.
