Two advantages of burning charcoal over burning wood are
1. The energy produced by the burning charcoal is much higher than the burning of wood i.e burning of 1 kg of wood produce around 18 Mega joules of energy whereas same amount of 1 kg of charcoal produce 29 Mega joules
2. The charcoal do not produce smoke during burning whereas wood produces a lot of smoke harmful for human health.
3.Burning of charcoal does not release poisonous fumes which are released in case of wood.
4. Charcoal can be used to derive a larger amount of energy as compared to wood.
