What are the advantages of connecting electrical devices in parallel with the battery instead of connecting them in series ?

The advantage was that if it is connected in parallel then if there is any problem in one of the circuit then after all, there isn't any bad effect must applied on your appliances ur devices work perfectly no harm can cause to your appliances but if connected in series due to its connection if one of them get any problem then your whole appliances stop working.
