Answer:

The advantages of grafting include combining attributes that don't naturally occur in a single plant, for instance flavorful fruit with dwarfing or disease-resistant roots.

hi friend,

Grafting is the technique to grow plants in order to transfer tissues from one plant to another. Usually it is a fast process. The upper part of the final plant is called scion and the root part is called stock.

_______________________________________________________________

disadvantages:-

1.grafting is very complex process of vegetative propagation .one has the skill and knowledge about like how to successfully graft a plant.

2.In order to graft a scion over a stock we have to find a scion which will fit into the stock or at least in the shape in which they fit together .so to do so we have to do a great work.

3.there is not 100% success if we do this process of reproduction. Like if we  do this type of vegetative propagation .it is possible that one plant scion cant compatible with another plant stock.

4.grafting can only be done when plant is dormant like in late winter to early spring. And usually we graft in same genus .so that is not sure we can do grafting in any plant.

______________________________________________________________

Advantages:-

1.one plant can attain another plants characteristics. Like diseases resistance and hardness.

2.when we practice grafting in order to natural reproduction. We get results very fast i.e. grafting is a fast process of reproduction.

3.we can choose like what height we want i.e. we can get short apple tress if we practice grafting.

4.like we got output of stem as scion that would be cut out or not in use.

Hope it helps :) and if it does please click on thanks button below & mark as best answer ^_^
