The advantage of seed dispersal:
Particular species can cover more area
By covering more area chances of survival may increase because species have to adapt according to new geographical conditions.
Plants can germinate when there is favourable condition by staying dormant.
Eg:seeds of eramanthus can stay viable upto 40 years.

Advantages of vegetative propagation:
It prevents competition between the plant and its own seedlings for nutrition, water and sunlight.
It also enables them to invade new habitats for wider distribution.
