  • There is no fragmentation in internal memory.
  • If the segments are small and it should not be joined into one page it may be saved into its memory.  
  • It is less overhead.
  • It is responsible for managing the computers primary memory.
  • It keeps track of each as well as every memory location.  
  • The average segment is greater than the average page size.  
  • In terms of segment table only one as possible entry per actual segment as opposed to per page in virtual memory.
