It requires less monetary input,

It requires less skill and technological knowhow,

The quality of produce is better and could also reduce risk of cancer,

The soil (for arable farming) is more balanced in nutrient distribution and texture, while (in livestock farming) milk, meat and eggs have better quality,

There is wider margin for error as it's scale is smaller than that of commercial, even though one would prefer not to make mistakes if it's a commercial venture.
