Application are :-

In electrical heating appliances = All electrical heating appliances are based on the heating effect of electric current.

Ex = Electric iron, Water heater, Geysers

It are fitted with heating coils made of high resistance of wire such as Nichrome.

Electric filament bulb = The use of electric filament bulbs is also based on heating effect of electric current. This filament is made from very thin high resistance tungsten wire.

Electric Fuse = Use of electric fuse wire is also based on heating effect of electric current. Fuse wire is made from a low melting alloy. When large current pass through the circuit this fuse wire gets heated up and melt away.
