Answers
Answer:
Some of these misconceptions are rooted in the (un)willingness and capacity of older people to use technology in daily life. Objectives The study discussed in this article seeks to provide an explanation for the phenomena of technology use among elderly stroke victims.
Explanation:
Background We emphasise and describe how ageism in society disadvantages the elderly with this idea. The top 12 age-related stereotypes are categorised by the WHO. The reason that elderly persons are socially isolated is not because of any real decline in physical or mental capacity, but rather because of their chronological age. Some of these misconceptions are rooted in the (un)willingness and capacity of older people to use technology in daily life. Objectives The study discussed in this article seeks to provide an explanation for the phenomena of technology use among elderly stroke victims. Method A qualitative content analysis was carried out as part of a study.
Method A qualitative study was conducted, namely a qualitative content analysis. We conducted six in-depth interviews with elderly stroke victims to learn more about their opinions on how they utilise technology on a daily basis. Results All of the older persons who participated in this study employed a variety of technologies, which have been categorised into those that help mobility, personal care, home tasks, and social networking. The degree of a senior's physical handicap as well as their social network and access to professional personnel all influence how they feel about using technology. We have discovered that older adults are creating different coping mechanisms utilising a variety of technology. Conclusions There might be some physical decline following a stroke.
