All these plays helped fortify nationalistic spirit of the Filipino; as a result,

US authority ordered an arrest to writers whose play result to riots. Thus,

Basic elements of the literary pieces under the Japanese Regime, American period, and Spanish period.

Explanation:

STEP 1

PHILIPPINES,  With foreign rule, history was scrutinized. Because of its colonial developments, the Southeast Asian island country has become an important state in modern times. The Philippines' overall culture and history were shaped by its colonialism by many foreign rulers. Before the arrival of the Spanish, life was dominated by chieftains and polities. The Philippines inspired the Philippines' political groupings through its connections with Islam and Christian missionaries. The literature of the Philippines was influenced by Hispanic, American, and Japanese influences. Jose Rizal was a well-known Filipino author who impacted the country's revolution.

Step 2:

Philippines Literature in JAPANESE, AMERICAN, and SPANISH JAPANESE.  JAPAN dominated the Philippines until 1945 when they surrendered. Because of Japan's imperialist policies, they invaded the Philippines in 1941 and occupied the country for more than three years. In America, Japanese control came to an end during World War II. Because it was a foreign fuel, Japanese literature was under restrictions. They didn't have any press freedom either. Almost every newspaper was outlawed. The daily coverage of the press to the Philippines society was mandated and examined under Japanese occupation. Japan preferred Tagalog, although it had little expressive capacity. Non-resident Filipinas were the only ones who could get free Philippine literature.
