The 10BASE2 is one type of Ethernet which makes use of thin coaxial cable terminated with BNC connectors. Some basic features of he 10BASE2 are as follows:
• It uses thin coaxial cable while connecting stations.
• It supports bandwidth up to 10 mbps, but in reality it gives 4 - 6 mbps in general.
• It is generally used in BUS topology.
• The maximum length of a segment is 185 meters.
