Answer:

The basic thesis of Erikson, Paiget, Kohlberg and Gilligan are as follows:-

1- Gilligan: The thesis is on the topic of theory of moral development for women. Gilligan produces her own stage theory on the subject matter.

She is involved in the field of gender difference psychology which leads to rising questions that sexes have the capacity to think differently, especially in the case of moral issues.

She in fact adopted to Kohlberg's theory of moral development.

2- Kohlberg: As the developer of the 3 levels of moral development,  preconventional, conventional, and postconventional.

Kohlberg has inspired other theorists to follow in his footsteps. Kohlberg studied moral reasoning by presenting subjects with moral dilemmas. Kohlberg followed in the footsteps of Paiget infact.

3-Paiget: She did work on the 4 stages of cognitive development, where she talked about information processing, intelligence, reasoning, language development, and memory. Furthermore, the 4th stage is called the “Formal operation”.

4-Erikson: His developments were in the field of personality development where he talked about 8 different stages categorized by ages.

- Trust versus mistrust;

- Autonomy versus shame and doubt;

- Initiative versus guilt; Industry versus inferiority;

- Identity versus identity confusion; Intimacy versus isolation;
