Industries can be classified in a variety of ways. At the top level, industry is often classified according to the three-sector theory into sectors:

  • Primary (extractive)- Agriculture, Fishing .
  • Secondary (manufacturing)- Industries .
  • Tertiary (services)- Police , Govt. job .
