Answer:

Explanation:

Biomass is considered now days very important in many application, therefore.many countries use them for energy production■ Energy crops. Energy crops are cultivated principally for the generation of energy.

Their function, analogous to that of a solar cell, is to capture solar radiation and

then store it in their biomass for subsequent use. Examples of energy crops are

rape, sunflower, Miscanthus sinensis and maize.

■ Post-harvest residues. The residues that occur in the harvesting of cereals and the

felling of trees such as straw and forest wood residues are natural waste. This group

of ‘by-products from nature’ is especially suitable for energy recycling because it

results in a lowering of production costs for the main products, or can increase the

yield of the cultivation chain.

■ Organic by-products. The processing of biomass by humans to create products

forms a further group of by-products. These by-products include manure and liquid

manure from animal husbandry and residues from the industrial processing of

wood and vegetable fibres. Here, too, energy recycling can lead to increased

profitability and ensure that parts of the production process are permanently

environmentally sustainable.

■ Organic waste. Organic waste comprises the products that are used by consumers

Explanation:

Biomass systems range from small stoves used in homes for heating or cooking to large power plants used by centralized utilities to produce electricity. In residential applications, biomass can be used for space heating or for cooking. Wood is the most common source of fuel, although many different materials are used..
