What are the bright and dark sides of political parties?
Answers
Political parties are supposed to penetrate into the people at all levels including the villages and cities. So they are supposed to represent people at all levels. They collect people for major movement required for the public safety and welfare. Political parties are supposed to implement social ideologies that are good for the society. They keep a watch on the behaviour, expenses and schemes of the government. They represent people in the parliament or assemblies.
Dark sides:
They may overlook the welfare of the people in comparison with the selfish motives. They may look for their own pride, power etc. They may not praise and support government, even if their schemes are good. Sometimes public money is wasted due to misbehaviour and opposing activities in the assembly and parliament. Too many elections cost money.
The political parties are always conflicting and fighting. This gives rise to factionists and killings. They promise a lot (even impossible things ) before elections and fulfil only very few of the promises made. The political parties probably use corruption and bribing during the elections. There are many scams related to political parties when in ruling party.
