Categories of the rank of the council of ministers:

There are mainly five categories of the council of ministers which are as follows in descending order of rank:

• Prime Minister

Cabinet minister: He leads a ministry.

Minister of state: He is a junior minister and has independent charge

Minister of State (MoS): He is a deputy minister reporting to a cabinet minister, usually worked with a specific responsibility in that ministry.
