There are mainly five categories of the council of ministers which are as follows in descending order of rank:
• Prime Minister
• Deputy prime minister; supervises as prime minister in his absence or as the senior-most cabinet minister.
• Cabinet minister: He leads a ministry.
• Minister of state: He is a junior minister and has independent charge
• Minister of State (MoS): He is a deputy minister reporting to a cabinet minister, usually worked with a specific responsibility in that ministry.
