What are the cathode and anode reactions in the electrolysis of water? Please explain in details .[6 marks]

during eletrolysis of water two gases are produced that are O²- and H²+
cathode is negative electrode so H² gas will be collected at cathode (due to force of attraction)

annode is postive electrode so O² gas will be collected at anode
