Water scarcity - When water could not meet it's basic requirements then it is called water scarcity.

Causes:

1. Over population - The rapid increase in population has caused a loss in biodiversity as well as water ecosystem.
2. Water pollution- The sources of water are contaminated making it unfit for human consumption.
3. Agriculture- Agriculture uses the majority of fresh groundwater and many of the groundwater gets wasted by irrigation.
